Quick-Thinking Vet Saves 6-Year-Old Boy After Near-Drowning

0
A quick-thinking Army veteran saved a 6-year-old boy who nearly drowned in a Florida resort’s pool.
Carlos Mullen and his fiancée Christina Lamothe were on the third floor of Westgate Resort in Orlando when they heard screaming coming from the pool area. They say that people were calling out for a lifeguard, but there was no lifeguard in sight.
Mullen jumped into action, rushing to the pool to perform CPR on a 6-year-old boy who had just been pulled from the pool by his brothers.
Westgate Resorts said in a statement, “All Westgate pools are marked with clearly visible signs that there are no lifeguards on duty and to swim at your own risk.”
Lamothe told FOX 35 that the little boy could have died if her fiancé didn’t rush to help.
"God forbid he didn't go down there, I don't know what would have happened. That family probably wouldn't have had a son anymore," she said.
